LDAP Monitor
LDAP monitor deals with operating a directory service.
It consists in Perl scripts or Java programs you can call from Cacti or Orca to check the health of your directory service. In comparison with such like existing scripts, LDAP monitor scripts are specialized in Sun DSEE, OpenDS and OpenLDAP.
It means they can get usual operational state data and performance
metrics, but also statistics about the internals of such software.
For example, in the case of DSEE, you can see check from our scripts
how well your LDAP proxy load balancing strategy performs, between the
different LDAP data sources.
All the metrics produce statistics computed on the fly, not based on
time consuming log file parsing and analysis.
